Perinatal sex therapist
Wanting a child, fertility treatment, pregnancy, birth, postpartum: this period transforms the body, the couple and sexuality. These changes are common, yet rarely talked about. I support you, alone or as a couple, to talk about them and find an intimate life that suits you.
For couples trying to conceive or going through fertility treatment, for pregnant women and parents-to-be, and for new parents, during the postpartum period and beyond.
Trained in perinatal sexual health by Camille Bataillon, I support you at every stage, whether the difficulty is recent or has been there for a while.
Who is it for?
How does a session work?
The first session begins with a conversation to understand your situation and what you would like to change. We then agree together on the right approach, alone or as a couple, in person or online.
Depending on your needs, I draw on therapeutic dialogue, mind-body exercises and Ericksonian hypnosis, for example to prepare for childbirth and ease apprehension.
What we can work on
-
Changing desire, fears during sex, a changing body, each partner's place in the couple: pregnancy shakes up intimacy, and it is possible to talk about it.
-
Resuming sex, pain during intercourse (alongside care from your midwife, gynaecologist or pelvic floor physiotherapist), processing the birth, a new relationship with your body.
-
Low or mismatched desire, fatigue, mental load, making room for the couple when the baby arrives: reconnecting when family life takes up all the space.
-
Scheduled sex, pressure of the calendar, the waiting and the fatigue of treatment: protecting intimacy and the couple throughout the journey.
This support complements medical care: it does not replace it.
