Bilingual hypnotherapist
Ericksonian hypnosis is a gentle approach that draws on your own resources to help you through a difficulty: anxiety, stress, apprehension about an event, or a period of transition such as pregnancy and the arrival of a child.
Ericksonian hypnosis has nothing to do with stage hypnosis. It is a state of focus and relaxation that everyone already experiences in daily life, for example when absorbed in a book or driving on autopilot.
During the session, you remain aware, you hear everything and you can stop at any time. You do not lose control. This state simply allows you to approach a difficulty differently than with the rational mind alone, and to access more easily the resources you already have.
What is Ericksonian hypnosis?
How does a session
work?
The first session begins with a conversation to understand your request and set a clear goal. Then comes the hypnosis itself, guided by my voice, in a comfortable position. We finish by talking about what you experienced.
The number of sessions depends on each situation. Hypnotherapy is generally short-term: a few sessions are often enough to notice changes.
Main reasons to consult for hypnosis
-
Rumination, constant tension, feeling overwhelmed, anticipatory anxiety: hypnosis helps you find more calm and better regulate your emotions day to day.
-
Fear of being judged, public speaking, overwhelming anger or sadness: hypnosis allows you to work on how you experience these situations.
-
Trained in perinatal sexual health, I support women and couples during pregnancy and after birth.
Birth preparation: managing sensations, relaxation, trust in your own resources, with self-hypnosis exercises to use on the day.
Fear of childbirth: apprehension, anxiety or a difficult memory of a previous birth.
Postpartum: processing the birth, emotional exhaustion, adjusting to life with a newborn.
-
Hypnosis can help in many other situations: phobias, pain management, preparing for an exam or a presentation, grief, changing a habit… If your request is not listed here, contact me to talk about it. I will tell you whether hypnosis is suited to your situation.
Hypnosis is a complementary approach: it does not replace medical or psychological care.
